Hi, I was wondering what methods can be used to hold the floor in a presentation/ conversation? Thanks

Here's a short list of features that are commonly associated with holding the floor:

- Voiced fillers, such as 'umm' and 'err'
- Discourse markers, such as 'I mean', 'you know' and 'like'
- High Rising Terminal at the end of an utterance
