Title: State Rank
Post by: JP12345 on January 31, 2019, 04:42:13 pm
Hi all,
Hope all is going well! Just curious to find out roughly what kind of raw marks throughout the year (internal and external) are needed in order to get a state rank in business studies. I know the goal of getting a state rank is unrealistic however I do love the subject and believe I can excel at it.
Thanks for the help and good luck in Term 2 HSC 2019 :)

Hi!

I state ranked last year in business and would be more than happy to give you an estimate! These were my marks throughout the year:

Term 1 Assessment - 100%
Half Yearly Exam - 98%
Term 3 Assessment - 100%
Trial Exam - 93%

My internal mark ended up being a 98 and I got a raw 98 in the external HSC exam. So my overall mark was a 98.

Hope this can provide some clarification and good luck with Year 12 :)

Those are definitely some great marks and thanks for your fast reply! I got 93% for task 1 last term which is ok but nothing special so I'll study hard to get close to 100% this term. I'll stick around and ask more questions in the future  :D
