Title: a specific question of a graph?
Post by: mano91 on October 29, 2009, 12:01:29 pm
the graph is y=x/(x^2+1)

even though there is an x intercept, is y=0 an assymptote?

(edit: when x is positive of course)

as x approaches infinity, so does the denominator hence yes, y=0 is an assymptote.

it is quite strange how assymptotes can be crossed...
