So I'm doing my holiday homework and there's this question I have no idea how I should answer, 'identify how the use of verbs in lines 1-11 help create register' how do verbs help create register overall???

Hey Check,
The lexicon in the text can influence the register in many ways, but most usually contribute to the formality which results in a formal/informal register. I can't answer the question directly as I have no knowledge of the piece you're analysing, but let's say it was an article about cookery. You could say that the piece is moderately formal due to its use of cooking jargon such as 'to saute', 'to splice' and 'to fry', because it requires a knowledge of that topic. However, if there's a use of slang verbs such as 'to shove', you could say it's moderately informal.
Hope that makes sense. :)
