Title: How many pages/booklets did you write?
Post by: Stroodle on October 30, 2009, 02:19:03 pm
I know it's about quality and not quantity, but I'm still interested to know how many pages everyone wrote?

I only wrote 2.5 pages on each, though I was reasonably happy with the content :)

I ended up blabbing on for 4 pages for all 3 sections which is shorter than the usual amount I blab on for in practice essays. Unfortunately there really wasn't much depth to what I was saying and half the time I was just jumping up and down on the same points.

I only needed one book for each section.  I think that would be more than enough for most people unless you are double spacing your lines.

I used just under 12 pages all up.

Text response: Almost 3 pages
Context: 5 and a bit pages - it was the last one I wrote, and a creative, so I got carried away
Language analysis: 3 and a bit pages

I wrote 4 pages for each essay. I think about 700 words each, give or take a hundred words.

surely no one asked for a second booklet?

I did that last year for Hard Times. But that was due to double spacing and fat writing.

With double spacing:

Whole booklet for both AMFAS and Context.
~5-6 pages for Language. (Can't remember :/  )

edit thanks to everyone who suggested double spacing, my writing was much easier to read and it just looked a lot better :)

I have no idea how many pages I wrote for each because I finished writing exactly when the supervisor said 'time's up' so I had no time to proof read. :(

Not everyone does that well, but members of this site show desire/dedication/care about how they do at school and thus many will do well.

what's double spacing?

leaving two lines for a paragraph or indenting?

Leaving a space between each line.

its funny because i am pretty sure not everyone would of done that well and what a coincidence that they all happen to be on the same website it just stupid really..

Is it really a coincidence that those motivated enough to participate in an online VCE forum tend to achieve great results?

I have pretty big handwriting but overall I was happy with the amount I wrote.

Tell me that you all have huge handwriting. Please. Will my marks suffer horribly if what I wrote was of a high standard, just a bit on the short side?
Title: Re: How many pages/booklets did you write?

as long as u make the word requirement/suggestions, you won't get penalised.
Which was about 800-1000 If I remember.

^^^Yes and No. depends how much on the "short side" it was?

double spaced:
8 text
6 context
6 analysis

i.e normal spacing =

4 text
3 context
3 analysis

That's reasonable.

Probably just over the 800, fingers crossed. I write about 500 per page and each was about (but not quite) 2 pages.

500 a page? You must have tiny writing
Title: Re: How many pages/booklets did you write?
Post by: invalid on October 30, 2009, 10:12:04 pm
Yeah I do, but it's pretty clear. I'm also accounting for the wider spacing in the exam booklet, which always forces my writing to be a little larger.

it also depends on the size of your writing i wrote 2 for sec a which iwas teribly dissapointed with and 3.5 for section b and 3.5 for section c!!!
Title: Re: How many pages/booklets did you write?
Post by: simpak on October 30, 2009, 11:58:38 pm
I wrote 8 for section a 7 for section b and 7 for language analysis.

3 -Text
2 -Context (Damn that Imaginative Landscape)
4 -Language Analysis

I get about 300 words on a page so I'll be lucky if I make 600 words on my context essay.
Damn. Damn. Damn.

7 Pages for Text Response - My favourite part of essay writing
3.5 for context
3.5 for language analysis.

No double spacing.
