just in case anyone is struggling, here is some useful stats and points for prevalence in 9.2 Groups In Context!

SYLLABUS DOT POINT:

• CATEGORY A ---------

PEOPLE WITH A DISABILITY
1 IN 5
   ↳ people have a disability in AUS (2015)
18% (4.3 MILLION)
   ↳ of the population are living with a disability

YOUTH
51.3% = MALE and 48.7% = FEMALE
   ↳ percent of people with a disability by gender in Australia (2015)
20% (5 MILLION)
   ↳ of the total AUS population are Youth

• CATEGORY B ---------

GAY LESBIAN BISEXUAL TRANSGENDER INTERSEX / GLBTI
1 IN 10 (11%)
   ↳ AUS people identify (2017)
1 in 100 couples (0.9%)
   ↳ are same sex, 0.2% increase from 2011 (2017)

HOMELESS PEOPLE
32% = YOUTH, 58% = MALE 42 % = FEMALE
   ↳ of the total homeless AUS population (2016)
55+ AGE GROUP INCREASE
   ↳ 4% steady increase, due to ageing population
