Title: Further: Actual Marks + study scores
Post by: maxleng on November 03, 2007, 06:50:06 pm
if anyone did further or knows anyone's exact marks for exam 1 or 2 and their study scores could you please post.

i know that someone lost 3 marks over both exams and had a SS of 47 (dont know sac marks however)

and becuase exam 1 is out of 40 and exam 2 out of 60, would loosing 1 mark  in one exam be the same as loosing  one in the other exam.  So which one would 'hurt' more to loose marks in.

thanks.

I think they're the same for both exams, its just that its easier to get marks in exam 1 (Multi choice) than it is to get marks on the exam 2 (analysis)

Both are worth 33% each, add them up and they're out of 100, 40/40 + 60/60.

So my prediction is:

for a study score of:

(SS -> Score out of both exams.)
 42 -> 90-91
 43 -> 92-93
 44 -> 94
 45 -> 95
 46 -> 96
 47 -> 97
 48 -> 98
 49 -> 99
 50 -> 100

the 42 study score was based on 37/40 in exam1 and 53/60 in exam2 which was actual results for last year.

Of course with SAC scores of A+

nah, doesn't work like that 45 SS = top 2% of the state

thats my score. yeh i got those scores. i was ranked 2 in my year lvl and these exam scores were the 2nd highest in my school.

so 3 low A+'s in Further/Science/Accounting subjects will get you a study score of 42.

I'm ranked number 1 if that helps...

I'm curious, what score out of 100 for sacs did you get and what was rank 1's score?

Because at my school I'm ranked 2nd as well on 93.5/100, the first rank student's result is 99/100.

I also received 37/40 for exam 2, so I'm aiming to dominate/kill/slaughter exam 2 (55+/60 =D), hopefully I can still achieve 45+ (be in that top 400 or so students out of 25,000)

By the way guys, remember those specialist and methods kids who were allowed to do further, about 3000+ students were let in...They're the pirates who are gonna steal our top scores...(already four specialist kids received 40/40 in my school according to the teachers...they are truly special children ^_^)

im fairly certain i got 39/40 in the exam yesterday. Stupid damn damn damn!!! damn!! dummy path. I was pissed when my friend saw it and i didn't.

Anyway, if i go 58-59/60 for next one it should be 49-48? My sac was 99/100.

I figure its 1 mark lost = 1 study score lost

i dont think 49, maybe if you got 100% exam 2, but  48 is probable! good luck.

networks screwed me over too  :x

my sacs were 89/100. i was ranked 2nd 3rd in my year lvl. my stupid further teacher didn't know how to mark my sacs properly. if i was in the other class (where the rank 1 guy was in) i would of got a much higher study score. the rank 1 didn't even achieve the highest exam score. it was a rank 3 who achieved 39/40 and 56+/60 for exam 1 & 2 respectively. but since he was ranked no.3 he's sac marks  got dragged down. ended up a 44 study score though. still good. would of got much higher if he was rank 1.

Someone answer my qn please :)
Oh btw I think you can change the 57 to 58+/60 :)
SACs overall were about 95% I think, but I'm safe I think, ranked number one by far, and i mean far........! second ranked scored 70% overall

hey asa.hoshi im in a similar position to that no.3 rank student.

exam 1: 38/40 exam 2: 56/60, but i should be ranked equal first or second (sac avg = 98%) do you think i could get a 44?

yes its very possible. but how certain are you that you got 56/60? because its very hard to tell if the examiners will take marks off for certain things that you didn't show in a question etc. anyway, you are in a very good position to get at least 43!!!

hopefully! i did it according to itutes answers, but i thought in further even if you write crap and have the right answer you still get full marks, ie there is no marks for working UNLESS you get it wrong and have working there then you may receive marks.

well thats what our teacher told us, and the duds were like "LOL ill draw a dick and write the right answer" no you probably still wont get the right answer...

Exam 1 40/40
Exam 2 57/60
rank 7ish

47 study score

Pretty harsh considering we lost the same amount of marks on the exam. Although I was ranked 2 in an extremely strong year level that had like five 50's. I guess SACs make a difference after all.

Exam 1 39/40

no, to get over 40 you need a mid B+ and high A+ for both exams
