why are there fewer y-linked disorders than X-linked disorders?

why are there fewer y-linked disorders than X-linked disorders?
Compared to the X chromosome the Y is actually quite small if you just look at a karyotype this becomes very clear. Not sure about the numbers but from memory, there are around 800 genes on the X chromosome but only 80 on the Y.
