Title: Good luck for exam 2

For a homogenous linear differential equation $a_n \frac{d^nx}{dt^n} + \cdots + a_1 \frac{dx}{dt} + a_0 x = 0$ , the general solution will have the form $x = \sum_{k=1}^{n} c_k e^{\lambda_k t}$ where $\lambda_k$ is a solution of $a_n \lambda^n + \cdots + a_2 \lambda^2 + a_1 \lambda + a_0 = 0$

I thought I was joking for exam 1, turns out it was actually there :P
