Title: how to work out the amount of dna after pcr?

hi all,
i feel like every pcr question is a gamble for me. I thought dna doubled after every pcr, but this doesnt seem to be the answer. is there a formula to figure our how many dna fragments are created after so many cycles of pcr?

please help !!

Hi!
It's usually 2 to the power of n where n is the number of cycles.
This gives you the total amount of DNA produced.
