Post by: JamieLeaf on October 30, 2019, 08:47:26 pm
Hey guys,
Do you need to know about the specific kinds of plant hormones in the current study design because my teacher saids that you don't but I am encountering a lot of plant hormone questions in practice exams.

You definitely don't need to, VCAA has confirmed this themselves. A lot of companies didn't seem to realise that before they wrote their exams though.

I know that there was alot of plant hormone questions in past exams (I did quite a few) but you honestly won't need them in the exam.
Focus more on plant defenses, like physical and chemical, as that will be what you are tested on.

The only ones I know however, are:
Ethylene, which ripens fruit, and auxin, which allows for a plant to grow in the direction of the sun to have more photosynthesis.
