a course I want to apply for in uni has maths methods listed as a prerequisite, however i'm not doing methods as a subject this year and i'm kinda worried that I won't be accepted into the course, despite whatever atar I get.
i'm worried that even if I do reach the atar requirement for the course I won't be accepted due to not having methods. Maybe, there's an online catch-up class I can do? anyone know or been in this situation? :'(

Hmm by default if you don't fulfil the prerequisites for a course you won't be considered for it. So you could have a 99.95 ATAR and the course you would like to get into may only need a 60 ATAR but without the prerequisites, you won't be considered for the course.
However, it can be possible to get around it by doing online bridging courses over the summer but not all universities will accept these or acknowledge them. Definitely get in touch with the university/faculty you would like to apply for.

Unfortunately you'll need the listed prerequisites otherwise you won't be considered for entry.
What course and what uni are you looking at? There are ways around it, but it varies between institutions.

They've got a few different options to get around this. You can read through these here. They're essentially equivalent study programs

Prerequisite=must. If you did not do methods you will not be accepted no matter what your final atar is. But fear not have you tried a bridging program? Maybe do something else first and transfer later.
