Title: Function vs Social Purpose

hey,
so i'm currently annotating a piece, which is a travel brochure.
I have the function as trying to sell the readers their services, or to inform them of their services.
now i've confused myself as i'm not sure, what I would write as the social purpose...
any and all help would be amazing, got to annotate and write my analysis by monday :)

Social purpose refers to the underlying goals of a particular discourse within its situational and cultural contexts. To put it simply, social purpose is what the author is trying to do socially.
