Hey!
I'm doing a past paper and am stumped by this:
Prior to this question (in question c, which question d refers to), I proved that:
R^2=-cos(theta)
How do I simplify this equation?

If you replace R with -cos(theta) you have an expression "in terms of r and theta".
So what's wrong with that?
