Title: UCAT on-screen calculator???
Post by: coldairballoon on July 09, 2020, 07:37:17 pm
So this is probably an extremely stupid question but I feel like I need to know.

I've got my UCAT soon and I'm honestly stressing quite a bit. Especially about the calculator.  On the official question banks you can use / or * as a shortcut for multiplication/division on the calculator, but not + or - for addition/subtraction. I keep messing up in QR practice questions because I lose the number I need by typing +/- by habit and overwriting it and it's defs going to be a problem on test day too I can feel it. So is this weird little quirk happening to just my computer for some reason or does it apply to every computer. Does this happen on the actual test too?

(Also if anyone's already done the UCAT, how does the difficulty/experience compare to taking the practice tests at home?)
