Title: Scholars program Monash
Post by: VC2020 on August 09, 2020, 01:42:40 pm
Hey ppl,
I’ve noticed there is a scholar program for those who achieve higher atar results but it says you have to be a a student between years 10-12 and attend seminars throughout your high school years, so does this mean as I haven’t done this I am not eligible to be considered?

Thanks :)

I think this is referring to the Monash Scholars program which is the equivalent of UoM’s Kwong Lee Dow program. This program is one that you apply for in Year 10, information can be found here where IIRC, some spots are reserved for students who were successful and fulfil all the conditions.

I unfortunately can’t remember whether you’re eligible or not in your case (double check this though). There are other versions of courses and scholarships for those with high ATARs though that you can apply for eg Advanced which allows acceleration + focuses on research.
