Title: Should I do further 3&4 in year 11 or do no maths?
Post by: carot on August 25, 2020, 05:41:53 pm
Hi
I'm doing methods 1/2 in year 10 right now and i want to do the 3/4 in year 12.
my options for next year are to do further 3&4 or just pick another 1/2 (I'm thinking History).
I don't really want to do further math next year but I'm worried i will forget everything if i do no math subjects for a whole year.
Pls give me some advice, I really don't know what to do and have to decide by tomorrow.

I'm curious why you want to wait until year 12 to do methods?

My personal thought is if you want to do further purely so you don't forget what you've learned this year, you'll be out of luck - the topics covered are just so vastly different between the two subjects that you can't really put one in place of the other. In fact, doing further without having done general would put you at a not insignificant disadvantage IMHO.
