Title: ATAR and UCAT score combination for unbonded Monash Medicine
Post by: periphrasticobfuscation on September 08, 2020, 05:32:49 pm
Hi, what do you all think would be a fairly safe ATAR and UCAT combination (given that you do relatively well in the interview) to get into Monash Medicine this year?

I don't think anything is really "safe"
99+ ATAR and a 90+ UCAT is quite good for an interview but I know people who have exceeded this combination by quite a bit and didn't received a place whilst there are those who have scored well below this and received a place

Damn, I guess that just stresses how important the interview component is out of the three.

In some honesty, it can also come down to sheer luck but having a high UCAT score and ATAR helps increase those odds.
Best of luck!  ;D

I would second the idea that a 99+ ATAR and 90+ UCAT might be considered a 'safe' threshold - at least for attaining an interview

but when it comes to offers as also previously mentioned there is a range surrounding this 'safe' threshold - obviously due to performance in the interview and specifics of that year's cohort. If you are a metro student looking for an unbonded place the higher the better as you would already realise.
