Title: Which state has the easiest universities to get into?
Post by: Stormbreaker-X on November 19, 2020, 01:04:26 pm
So I know Victoria and New South Wales are very competitive states, but which state or city is the least competitive in Australia. Can someone tell me?

Just curious, why do you say this?

It depends on a lot of factors: population, uni ranking and reputation, what courses they offer, whether they offer non-ATAR entry courses, etc.. On top of this, there’s some unis that have multiple campuses across states so that complicates things even more e.g. La Trobe has NSW and Victorian campuses.

In general, I’d say something like the Northern Territory. Smaller population than Vic/ NSW, fewer unis, but their biggest (Charles Darwin Uni) ranks well so the argument could also be made against them. (I think CDU might be the only big uni there and their selection ranks are lower than big unis in other states.)
