Hi,
I thought it would be useful to share our GAT results (raw and scaled) and how much you think it impacted your SS's.
-
Here are my raw and scaled scores:
Written Communication : 30 -> 42
Maths/Science : 27 -> 40
Humanities/Arts : 14 -> 28 (lmao :P)
I don’t think this had any impact on my 2 3/4 scores as I got higher in both of my maths subjects that I did in the GAT (42 in methods and 45 in further). Interesting to see others tho :)
-
written comm raw: 40 standardised: 50
maths/sci raw: 30 standardised: 43
hums/arts raw: 25 standardised: 40
don't think this affected my scores as both my subjects were maths/sci and i got higher than the gat in both :)
-
written comm: 29 -> 41
maths/science: 31 -> 44
human/arts: 32 -> 50
-

-
Written: 28-->39
Maths/sci: 34-->50

-
Written Comm
Raw: 38
Standardised: 50
Maths/Science
Raw: 30
Standardised: 43
Arts/Humanities
Raw: 33

Makes me feel like I should have incorporated more humanities subjects into my VCE

Does anyone know how much the GAT accounts for things? I achieved less on my year 12 subject (Methods) than my GAT score.
Written Comm: 36 - 49
Maths and Science: 33 - 48
Arts and Humanities: 27 - 42
-
Written Comm

Maths/Science

I don't think it would've had much of an impact tbh.
Anyway it makes sense for someone to score higher in the GAT than methods given the methods cohort would be stronger than the cohort sitting the GAT.

That makes a lot of sense actually, thanks for your input!!

My GAT Results
Written Communication: Raw 30, Standardised 42
Maths/Science: Raw 33, Standardised 48
Humanities/Art: Raw 27; Standardised 42
-
written comm: 33->46
maths/science: 22->36 (lmaoo :D)

-
Written communication: 16
Math/science:17
Human/arts: 9
Standardised scores:
WC:25
M/S:32
HA:21
-
So is my score good or was I doing really bad.
-
I got:
Raw:
- written [31]
- maths/science [33]
- human/arts [21]
Scaled:
- written [43]
- maths/science [48]
- human/arts [36]
-
I did more well-rounded than last year - got the same raw score for Maths/Science this year as last, but it scaled differently.
WC: 32>44
MS: 32>46
HA: 28>44
In short: what is wrong with my HA scores?! I generally do okay with any sort of writing task. But the GAT? Nope! I dunno why.

Written communication is out of 40 while the science and humanities categories are out of 35. The standardised scores (like study scores) are out of 50.
An average standardised score (the mean) is around 30. That means that your maths/science is slightly above average.
