Title: Magnetic Flux
Post by: hifer on November 03, 2007, 11:20:07 pm
Ok, so if I drop the North pole of a magnet through a coil, would the flux be negative as it comes out from the bottom? Or would the flux-time graph be like: 0 to Max back to 0 again?

What if the magnet bounces back up? Now the South pole is approaching the coil from the bottom, would that be negative flux?

flux/time would be positive until the magnet was half way, then head back to 0 on its way out... i think :P
