how did you guys go? I did the cas one and i feel like i did well how many marks can ye drop to be removed from A+... Sorta unrelated to the thread lol
-
simple, straightforward. The A+ scores is going to be pretty tight this year.
-
It was so hard. Didn't have enough time to finish off the last two questions on Tasmania Jones. There goes 6 marks. Take 5 off for mc's and another 6 or 7 for ones I got wrong/didn't answer. Not looking good.
Did well on the first exam though. Expecting 37-ish.
Hopefully a B for SAC's, A for Exam 1 and B+ for Exam 2 will get me a 35.

Just thought I'd point out there's another post on this in the exams forum! :)

Its better to make 5 different threads about the exact same thing.

Disagree. I think 65-66 will be enough for an A+, slightly harder than 08 but not quite 07 territory.

Oh that's the thing about VCAA papers though - they may seem straightforward, but once you pay special attention to domains and restrictions and other stuff, you realise how easy it is to make stupid mistakes!
-
id have to disagree.
I reckon its tricky like hell because its the subject
methods teaches you methods to get to a certain answer so you have to pay attention to whats around the question where as spesh has you dealin how to get the answer asap.
Btw.. Would anyone know if solutions are up yet?

My calc didn't work during exam 2 until around an hour and a half into it. I'm applying for a derived score, but if i don't get one I think i dropped around 20-30 out of 80. What kind of grade should I expect if I dropped this many marks considering the difficulty of this years exam? Was the exam easier than last year?
Thanks
