Title: Studying UCAT over the holidays.
Post by: AIFN68 on November 12, 2021, 08:28:57 pm
Hello all,

I am finishing up Year 10 this year and are looking to go into undergrad med at monash. I am wondering how exactly I can begin my revision for the UCAT during the holidays as I will also be balancing the UCAT revision with the 3/4s I will focusing on. I am looking to create a regular UCAT schedule that can be utilised throught the whole of the next year as revision for the UCAT.

Could I receive some advice on what to exactly start with when revising for the UCAT and how to slowly increase the revision until i start attempting full blown practice UCAT tests as I am not too sure if jumping straight into practice UCAT tests is the wisest option.

If anyone has the time, please give me some advice regarding my matter.

Hi,

I personally didn't do well in the UCAT but since you're starting so early maybe focusing on building the skills the UCAT tests like:
- mental maths: https://www.mathtrainer.org/ , https://arithmetic.zetamac.com/
- finding patterns in shapes: https://www.wikijob.co.uk/content/aptitude-tests/test-types/abstract-reasoning
- speed reading : https://breakingnewsenglish.com/speed_reading.html
