Title: Fluxing agents
Post by: StringFever on November 11, 2009, 03:53:31 pm
Are we able to describe impurities (such as CaCl2 in the down cell to lower the melting temp of NaCl) as a fluxing agent?

Never heard of the term (and I haven't studied metallurgy yet), so probably play it safe and stay within VCELand :)

Cool.
Thanks! :)
"Impurity" it is then :)

I wouldn't call it an impurity. It is probably best to describe them in terms of their function, or just call them by their chemical names.

Oh OK, thanks Mao! :)
