So, what do you think the A+ cut-off will be for this years unit 4 exam?
Did the straightforward "copy-off-the-cheat-sheet" style exam make it too accessible for the entire state? and will we have the same epic dilemma as the mid years?
-
The cutoffs last year was 82 i think and people are saying this year was easier so i'm guessing 82-85
-
i think around 82 - 85 ..
was pretty reasonable exam.
just with the theory questions, examiners can juggle around the marks abit.. but yea. :)
-
Same 82-85, fair exam.
-
I think it'll be around 78, because it required more reasoning than past exams, and there's a much higher potential to lose a lot of marks in the explanations.
-
that is true. there will be a lot of marks that can go either way when marking the written explanation questions
-
hopefully 13.

A friend of mine got their statement and apparently it was 85.5/90

Wasn't that exam one? Or were both the ame?
Premiers Awards are going to be impossible to give out if both exams had the same cut off...
-

Exam 1 was 86/90
Exam 2 was 85.5/90
I would guess a premiers would require full marks for both.
-
That's incredibly stupid.
-
I feel sorry for those who did Physics this year. Quite hard to get the high marks this year. This is probably why my friend only got a 41 where he was aiming for 45+
-
Ah, I don't know if I'll get a premiers award... I have no clue what I actually scored, but I was getting 100s on pretty much all of my trial exams which were of a higher difficulty, so I really wish it'd been a harder paper.
I guess that's life.

Premiers are really just a bonus to a 50, hardly anyone goes out there into an exam aiming for a premiers award.......so don't worry about it too much (if at all)
