I hear a clipboard with a few sheets of blank A4 paper and a pen is all you need for uni.
-

i just write on my lecture notes, and its good to carry a notebook (not laptop type) too

In other words you need one

lol if u want to play games, although u should listen unless of course u have the most boring lecturer ever...

I've seen people with laptop in lectures. They start typing madly during lectures and I thought 'Oh wow I wish I had a laptop to type out lecture notes'. And when I look closer, they are probably on Facebook or something :P

I do engineering.
And the people in my course never carry a laptop around unless they have a group assignment to do.
-
I guess the thing with having laptops at uni is that it's a bit of a bitch to carry around as well.
And for those people who have had to carry laptops from years 7-12, it's understandable. :)

Personally i cbf carrying one around.
If you get one of those EEEPCs, it barely feels like anything :)
I can't live without my laptop at uni, my lecturers talk way too fast for me to write down. Plus Facebook is my saviour during boring classes
