Title: school mottos
Post by: periwinkle on November 25, 2009, 11:21:40 am: My Mum reckons she's got a claim to having (had) the worst ever school motto: 'Serve and Obey'

Pretty dreadful, though I'm also not too keen on St Kevins' 'Omnia pro deo (All for God)'

And, of course, if you're feeling stressed and burnt-out, MHS's is none too welcoming either ;)

The latin wording is burnt into my head, from staring at it imprinted on the backs of chairs throughout school assemblies.

So, lift up your eyes....i THINK they mean like "wake up and see for urself"
But obviously, THEIR way sounds much more "fancy"
