Hi, I was looking at doing Maths, Chem or Physics UMEP/MUEP course in yr 12. Do you think that if i did this and went on to do biomed at unimelb which needs a 35 in chem prereq and I didn't get it, would they look at the fact that I did Chem Enhancement?
Thanks

When you apply for enhancement subjects and you are taking the related VCE subject concurrently they require both you and your school to be confident you will achieve a RAW SS of at least 41. I don't know what would happen if you screwed up VCE Chem but did well in enhancement, I think they would probably consider you depending on your performance in enhancement Chem.

^ i honestly think if you get into enhancement chem and did vce chem at the same time, there is no reason you are unable to get high 30's at least if you study hard!!

ok thanks for that. well lets just hope i get accepted into uni chem because its done at my school. then i can look at dropping a subject, if only i could drop english >:(
-
You can only really drop Specialist or Physics, and who would want to drop them...
-
yes i know, thats the only problem. i think i would have to drop physics even though it seems easier due to its maths basis.
thanks

Hopefully you've all ready sent in your application, as I think the deadline has past. Well I know Melbourne has, the application had to be in by the 20th of Nov.

He's year 12 in 2011.
Monash deadline is this Friday, and Melbourne Unis passed ages ago.

Ohh sorry bud, missed his signature. Yeah I just got my Melbourne application in time. Didn't put one in for Monash, $900 was a bit too steep when Melb Uni charge $0.
