Title: Handing in reports
Post by: mankay on December 11, 2009, 07:11:31 pm
For UMEP applications (and all, i presume), we are required to send in our semester reports. Do they just want the grades for each subject (from each semester report), or also any comments that go along with it?

Just send in a copy of the original report (grades and comments but I'd doubt they'll look at the comments)

I was planning on photocopying my entire report (minus the front page. wtf whose idea was it to stick a half page photo of the student on the front?) so that would include comments and grades.

My letter said to send both Semester 1 + 2 reports. Does this include unit 1/2 exam results because they were given to us separate from our report.

What? Then how do they know the legitimacy of these? Do they check the school to make sure?

Yeah photocopy your entire report. You probably should include your 1/2 exam results too (in my year, each exam, SAC mark and other assessment had a separate grade and was on the same piece of paper). If unsure, ring the university for advice.

Alright, thanks.

One other question, when they receive our study scores, do they see our Raw, Scaled or both. I'm wondering as my raw is pretty bad, but my scaled is pretty good, so I'm thinking of additionally sending the scaled score as well.

I'm pretty sure they'd see the Raw score since scaled is only used to calculate your enter score.

Yeah, Raw scores go to unis.

Hmm thats worrying as I only got a raw of 39 for methods, scaled to 44-45. Do you think i will get in to UMEP maths? Should i send in the scaled score too?

My sister got in UMEP maths with 36 for methods. I think you'll be fine. :)

Ahh, why did the posties choose to strike now? My semester 2 report is now stuck somewhere and there's no way I'll get it by Friday. Crap.

Same here. However, i'm sure the UMEP people will understand, and in addition to that, the last day of the strike is tomorrow (or so i hear).

The postal workers are on strike so there hasn't been any mail sent out today and possibly tomorrow. Anyway, I'll just hand in my semester 1 report in tomorrow and explain. It should be fine.
