Title: disadvantaged students: what can you apply for?
Post by: vitir on December 14, 2009, 10:17:40 pm
what are some of the opportunities available for disadvantaged students.

I heard that there is something like a 'teacher recommendation' but I havn't come across information about it. Can someone tell me more about this aswell as any other opportunities like it.

I've been on differant university websites and seen their personal scholarships. I've also read about special considerations that vcaa can give you throughout the year and those offered by vtac. Don't worry about explaining these ones to me (sorry that sounds rude not intentional sorry)

thank you!

If you are disadvantaged in some way, there is something known as the "Special Entry Access Scheme" commonly abbreviated as "SEAS".

You can read the booklet here.  Alternatively, if you want see other VTAC publications, visit here.

SEAS applies to all unis. Just some uni have more or less categories that they accept in terms of disadvantage
