I got my book secondhand, and it came with no cd. Sorry. So you don't have any holiday homework then?

I'm doing CAS in 2010, bought my textbook a while ago now, (Maths Quest 12 CAS), may get started on it at the start of the new year, I am hoping to very briefly go over the basics of each area of study, that way when it comes to learning it, I can expand my knowledge, plus I'm only aiming for a 36-38 maybe scrape in a 40 with an extreme amount of preparation. But still a 38, should suffice.

I'm doing it next year and have only started doing my holiday homework. However I plan to probably complete the first chapter or two of our textbook. (Maths Quest 12)
Might also start thinking about my bound reference.

I'll be doing it! I think that we have to do the first 4 chapters or so for school, but I've done a lot of uni level maths for the physics olympiad preparation, so that probably counts as problem solving and calculus practise.

We didn't get any holiday homework, but I'm going to finish the Essential text before school starts. Up to chapter 6 now.

agreed, alot of ppl (not just pros) have a stong feeling about an answer and if its correct or not
if it feels right there is a good chance it is right lol

I used Essentials; it has got some mistakes too. I just clarified (in ambiguous cases) with a teacher if I suspected an answer to be wrong or if it was blatantly incorrect, I'd make a marking at the back of the book. There will always be wrong answers because someone else does the answers to the questions and one must account for the fact that they will make mistakes :P

DOing text book questions and revising units 1&2 are good ideas. but what would be even more awesome is to find out an overview of everything in methods 3&4. Find a checklist so that you know exactly what you will be doing and what you won't be doing.
there's a checklist you can download here.

Just adding lots of value to the masses of students in methods before teachers make things confusing!

Hey akira88
when you go to www.mathsmethods.com, there should be a form down the bottom of the page before all the PSs.
you can just fill in that form and press the button that says..."Get me inside now"
let me know if you have any more trouble! :)
