Title: RMIT courses
Post by: amirite? on January 03, 2010, 11:55:18 am
Hey chaps just wondering about a few of these courses I see at RMIT.

Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) - anyone doing this course? From the description on VTAC coursesearch it looks like one of the best courses to go on to further studies in psychology offered at any uni for me. I think it goes: Monash with Honours, Monash Arts (psychology), then there are 2 applied science courses one at Deakin and one here at RMIT.

Bachelor of Business (Professional Accountancy) - Does this course contain much maths? Im not fond of maths due to years of loathing it, however I know I am capable of learning complex mathematics if I applied myself. There are no prerequisites of any maths but accounting is all about managing money right? Seems odd.

Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) - Apparently there is a lot of money in these fields. The course looks pretty interesting but again I am concerned about the maths aspect.

Bachelor of Applied Science (Planning): FT4. - Really entertaining the idea of doing urban planning or something like that. Seems like a very logical profession where you have a fair bit of power and control. Seems to be a bit of money in it aswell. I'd like to know if the opportunities for work are great, do you need any postgrad degrees to make it big? Also what other ways (degrees) are there of getting into planning, at any university?

Bachelor of Architectural Design

Anyone know much about this course? Theres no clearly-in on VTAC. Theres no prereqs for any mathematics either which seems weird/totally awesome. Grads must have to outsource that part of the design. :P
What is a vertically integrated pool?

Prereqs
Current Year 12 prerequisite units 3 & 4—English (any).

Non-Year 12 applicants are encouraged to apply and may be required to have relevant employment or evidence of experience and/or ability to meet the demands of the program.

Have a look at this site: http://www.rmit.edu.au/browse/Study%20at%20RMIT%2FTypes%20of%20study%2FDegrees%2F;ID=BP250;STATUS=A

No offence but dont you think the first thing id have done would be go to that site?
I will obviously be a year12 applicant too so that second part.. why have you highlighted it?
Ive already researched the prereqs. (Wasnt that obvious when I said there are no maths prereqs?)

Thanks for trying to help.
