Title: Engage Education Foundation?
Post by: jayfan on January 19, 2010, 12:58:23 am
Does anyone know about this company/organisation? Their web is: http://engageeducation.org.au/

I got a message from them on facebook inviting me to be a tutor, but I have never heard of them...

Yea its a kid called Callum Forbes who decided to start up a (claimed) not-for-profit company. He has been stalking/adding randoms on facebook, based on there study scores which he got from the herald sun, and asking them to be tutors in his company.

pretty funny to me but lots of people I know are interested

You can't just "claim" to be a not-for-profit.

How did those VCE Seminars go, as in success wise?

No idea. We did track the vceseminars site for a while, but there was never any information on who the teachers would be. They clearly had already booked UoM for the location though, so I'm guessing they were held.

EDIT: www.vceseminars.org.au auto-directs to https://engageeducation.org.au/seminars, but that link doesn't actually work
EDIT2: thank you Google http://74.125.153.132/search?q=cache:bq8ipGNMu3MJ:www.vceseminars.org.au/+VCe+seminars&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk

I've heard that if you're having seminars with Engage, it's a waste of time (duplicate) to have em with TSFX.

(And of course, you'd choose Engage for lower prices. They're like a low-cost TSFX competitor from what I've gathered - that's easy if your company is not trying to make profit, like TSFX)
