Should i go
To a uni with a better name , a lower enter and far far away OR
To a uni with not so good of a name, a higher enter but in melbourne (burwoood ) apparently..
*cough cough* Monash and Latrobe OR deakin university...
no offence

What course are you considering?
I suppose it depends on whether it's worth spending about $10000 a year to live on campus and get the better name for the course.
I personally got the enter to get into monash clayton commerce and chose to do deakin commerce/law because it was close and I didn't have to move out of home. Personally moving out of home at this stage scares me so I'm happy to go to a uni that does not have the best name.

or perhaps go to the uni that you like that course more and would enjoy more...

Firstly, I wouldn't worry too much about the ENTER difference. As we've seen with UoM this year (especially with Eng) they're pretty volatile and only really signify supply-demand.
As for distance, how far is each Uni from home? If you have the choice between 30 mins and 1 hour then maybe consider Monash. If the time difference is greater than an hour I would personally go to Deakin. Two hours extra travel every day can be pretty tiring.
As for "name", for your course (nursing/midwifery right?) I don't really think a Uni's reputation is a huge deal. There's pretty high demand for nurses throughout Australia right now (and I doubt it'll change much by the time you graduate). As there's less competition in nursing (as opposed to say Law) Uni rep won't be a major deciding factor in employment.
I guess in summary I would advice you go Deakin, although maybe someone with better knowledge on how important Uni rep is in gaining employment might be able to elaborate.
Congrats on the offers and G'luck

What course you doing?
Monash is pretty close to Deakin, depending on what course and campus you plan to do.
Haaha typical asian thing to look down on Deakin.

Deakin just really depressed me when I went there.
It's like Latrobe, I could never study there, I think I would commit suicide come second year; it's entirely grey. What bleak prospects.
Not that Deakin is grey. But it's still depressing.

Okay I just reread what I wrote before and it sounds really, really mean.
LET ME CLARIFY: neither of the Universities are bad.
It is MERELY THE CAMPUS that I dislike.

i have descided to go with latrobe because accoridng to the vtac map deakin if 6 cm from Melbourne and latrobe is 4cm from melbourne and deakin is far and needs a higher enter of like 93 D: and latrobe only needs 80.
