hey guys..
had a SAC on Monday and totally f'ed it i think..(hopefully i can still get above 32/40)
Was just wondering how you would go about answering a question like this...
- Organisational structure and corporate culture are pivotal factors of the internal environment of a business. Discuss this statement. (4m)
-
first identify the key terms then define them :
roughly
- organisational structure, the way in which an organisation cordinates its resources and lines of communication to best support its objectives
- corprate culture, the core values, morals, and beliefs which and organisation upholds - maybe better than that did it last yr so hav forgotten
thats 1 maybe 2 marks
now expand
- id probably talk abit about the internal environment, maybe define it, and state a few of its components
1 mark
now finnally using the definitions u have stated explain why these factors are pivotal to the successful functioning of an internal environment
thats the final mark
-
cheers mate

I'd say most of the marks are allocating to applying why they are pivotal to success, so make sure you go in enough depth (about 3 clear reasons with examples) to ensure you would be awarded full marks.
You'd probably get a mark for defining the key terms.
