Title: a Coherently constructed piece of prose - analysis of letters
Post by: cltf on March 26, 2010, 07:15:26 pm
Need some help, how would i discuss 2 letters and one cartoon in the same piece of written that examines the ways written and visual language is used to persuade?
Especially in the introduction, do I combine 3 ID paragraphs into 1?
And as for the arrangement of points, a paragraph on each piece of media? or ....
I have no idea how to approach this.

In the introduction do the following
~ First sentence = State the issue
~ State the positions and publication details of each piece
~ I like to finish off with a sentence on the underlying issue

There are several ways you can do the body paragraphs.
~ Piece by piece
~ Devote one paragraph to a single aspect of the issue, and examine how that one aspect is dealt with in each article.
~ Generally you should devote an entire paragraph to the image

Conclusion
~ Simply summarize and compare the language usages in each media.
