Title: Question about neurotransmitters.
Post by: simpak on April 03, 2010, 10:44:47 pm
So for my own tutoring purposes, and because my ideas of the nervous system are now tainted by MBB1 Psych at Uni, I am slightly hazy on what you need to know for 3/4 in relation to neurotransmitter being removed from the synaptic cleft.
I know that decomposition of the neurotransmitter by enzymes is definitely to be known, but is reuptake learnt in Unit 3?
Because I can't remember if it's something I learnt this year or last year or if it's on the course or whatever.

Thanks guysssss.

In both heinamann and NOB book it seems like we are only told neurotransmitters are decomposed by enzymes that is it.

Actually to correct that those books dont even say anything about what happens to them...

but its kinda neglecting the fact that there are other mechanisms working together
but if they only expect you to know that one thing then i guess its okay just for vce....

My tutor always gives me tells me extra infomation from like uni books, its always good to know more as the concepts are easier to grasp in my opinion.
