What do you do? At the moment Im just going through the chapters ahead of my class - learning concepts, definitions, factors etc. Im also compiling a list of stats for each month this year.
hbu?

Same. I also do Checkpoints and Some extended response answers :)
-
I just go through the text book, summarise, do a few questions, multi choice work sheets the teacher gives us, extended repsonse and read the age everday.

The AFR (Australian Fin. Review), The Australian and The Age are good newspapers for economics. AFR has detailed articles on interest rates, but is mainly centered around financials (fin. markets) though. Nonetheless, Ross Gittins in The Age writes so brilliantly that it subliminally says: "HEY ALL VCE STUDENTS STUDYING ECON READ THIS". :P
-
do past exams and get used to 'stepping' out your responses, it works.
-
How about good ole 'woody' lol

the AFR yes, The Age no. The Age is no place to look for sound economic analysis.

Mr. Wood is in one word, legend. Seriously, He's the Ahmad of Economics :P. Period.

Yes I'd admit that, but Ross Gittins ( and sometimes Tim Colebach) is the only the one I look out for as VCE examiners love students who reference to those writers.

I also imagine that the concepts talked about in the age would, on average, be more accessible to VCE students. Although my teacher photocopied articles from the Fin Review now and then, I've never bought a copy before. Plus, The Age has good student discounts (at $10 a year, you can't go wrong). But I don't think you should rely too much on other sources for economic analysis, get the news and analyse it yourself! It's way better practise.

yeahh agreed, relating everything you do to what is happening in the current Australian Economics is A MUST.
Exam should be written soon, if it isnt already, hence everything that has gone on in the economy up to now, is ESSENTIAL to know and have a very good understanding of eg; how our economy is going bust lol.
