I'm thinkin about doing MUEP Chem (Because its done at my school), and I'm doing well in it, however I don't know whether to give up Physics in place of it as there is no point doing 7 subs. The subs I'm doing are in my sig.
Thanks

Depends if you like physics and are good at it.. If you don't like it that much and don't think you will do that amazing, then uni chem has the potential to help you get a higher score by 1. the enter increment, and 2. making regular chem much easier. We just covered a topic in great depth in uni chem, and the day after we did the same topic in vce chem (coincidence) just an easier version, so definitely helpful^^;

physics at uni is gay, do chem it will probs help vce chem where as the vce physics course is totally broken.
personally i wouldn't do either LOL
-
Depends on how much you like physics. If it's one of your least favourite subjects then probably drop it and do MUEP Chem.
I highly recommend against 6 subjects in year 12

lol it's only gay cuz you never bothered to learn any of it

Nooo, both are awesome :P You can't pick one over the other :| Do 7 subjects ;D Think about the fun learning. Or you could just drop English :D
Though seriously consider doing enhancement, it is amazing; well, at least maths is good. And you of course could actually do six subjects next year...
And, consider doing extension maths ! :P

YES, the 7 subject-club. the best... you know you want to join luken....

tiring . . .

yeh not sure, dont mind chem, and i hear that alot of year 12 (correct me if im wrong) is math based, and relates with spesh quite alot.
so seeing as maths is probably my strong point (although im doin really well in chem), i dont wanna drop physics.
And, consider doing extension maths ! :P
Too far way, the closest place is monash clayton which is about 40mins from school, so id be pushin it to get there. otherwise i wouldve.

And why would i want to do that, apart from Do 7 subjects ;D Think about the fun learning.
So its a case of doing Uni Chem to help with Chem, or Physics to complement Spesh?
-
I wouldn't say you need Physics to help with Spesh. A different approach is taken to mechanics in Spesh, much more mathematical (surprisingly..). And it's not that hard anyway.
-
And it's not that hard anyway.
Easy for you to say hahah
Going really well in Spesh so far, but it's only Term 1 and apparently GMA is fair easy compared to spesh 3/4
-
Depends on what your school chooses to do in GMA.
And VCE physics is hardly math-based. You won't be needing most of what you learn in GMA, let alone calculus.

Depends what you cover as /0 said. Last year I was struggling in GMA, but now Spesh is the complete opposite...

7th subject= a higher chance of getting a better score as you have more secruity, perhaps you may completely dislike a subject a month or so in and know you wont do well, then you can drop it and be doing 6. doing only 5 in year 12 is quite limiting... even though by doing so you are at no disadvantage haha.

0.o it doesn't really relate to Spesh that much, just a single section (Dynamics). And I remember James Lu saying that the ppl who didn't do Physics did better at Dynamics in Spesh than those that did. And the maths in Physics is really simple, just a lot of transposition of formulas and units.
And it's not that hard anyway.

Hmm...so far I'm finding Spesh and GMA to be the same

haha i wish GMA was the same difficulty as Spesh, I'm sittin on 100% average after 3 tests :)
however i dont think this will continue into Spesh as I don't think we have ever had a 40+ in Spesh (maybe I could be the first hahahah)

yeh i was thinking of just starting physics, if i didnt like it i could drop it, although our rules are that we have to drop the subject in the first week of term 1 to get out of it for the rest of semester, or at the end of term 2 if we want to get out of it for semester 2.
thats how it is for yr 11 anyway, i spose i could just drop it seeing as though it is a 7th subject.

Our GMA was hard >.<, basically everyone failed the first exam

and you got 48 in methods, oh crap!
but then again you go to MGS, of course its going to be hard compared to my school.
