Hey Guys,
This is a silly question but:
Is y=7-5x
the samre as y= -5x + 7 OR y= -5x - 7 ????
Thanks
-
y=7-5x is the same as y=-5x+7. theres a +ve infront of the 7.
-

In your alternative you have changed 7 from positive to negative.
-
It is the same as the first option you've listed.
The other option you've listen has a y-intercept of -7 instead of 7 and you can check and see the difference by sketching the two graphs :)
-
Alternatively it could be written
-
y=7-5x is the same as y=-5x+7. theres a +ve infront of the 7.
sub in a value, and see if its the same :)

yea implied addition
