Title: volumetric analsis
Post by: cappa1 on March 11, 2008, 06:30:20 pm
Hey

I have a sac on volumetric analysis(titration) and was wondering if anyone knew what some common sources of uncertanty were. The prac will invovle using a gas, i am not currently sure of the gas.

Thanks

not sure if it is a gas titration. The prac is determining the amount of sulfer dioxide content in wine. i think the gas is SO2.

It would be a redox titration. Every peice of equipment used in volumetric analysis carries an uncertainty. E.g A burette has an uncertainty of +/- 0.02mL
