When doing a 3 point or 4 moving average of a set of a data you tend to get some values with no numbers. for example.
Sales 71 77 74 69
4 pnt. 73 72
Centering 7.25
Would you include the 71 and 77 in the x values when trying to find the regression line or would you start from 74
so
x y
74 7.25
etc.

You would start from 74.
When smoothing, the points at the start and the end will always be omitted.
And even if you did use 71 and 77, there would be no y values to substitute in
