Title: B+ on mid-year
Post by: 99.95 on May 16, 2010, 07:20:07 pm
if you get a B+ for any subject, does that basically mean u can't get 40+ SS? Has anyone on VN got 40+ with a B+?

It should be possible if you gun the other assessments. I know of at least one VN member who scored a 40 raw with a B+ in an end of year worth 50% of the total grade.

Yes, it's possible to get 40+ with a B+ for mid-year.  It does vary from subject to subject but by no means should a B+ demoralise you.

I know a guy last year who scored B+ on the Biology mid-year and ended up with a raw score of 43.

I would like to know this as well! A study score of 43 is REALLLY good with a B+ exam mark!

Dont think its possible.A for mid year accounting top 10 rank in sacs (high cohort school) and lost only a few marks for end of years (high A+) only 41.

pretty insane, so far the highest I've heard with a B+ mid year is a 40.

So is a 40 still within reach if you get an A?

definitely, a 40 is pretty much just a low A+ average; just need a higher A+ in other assessments/exams to get it.

That would be about a 35-36 because even if you can ace your SACs, it will be marked down accordingly (depending if your SACs were easy as compared to the exam)
