You're not the only one doing a few embarrassing mistakes!
I check the answers and I go, "WHAT I'M WRONG? THERE MUST BE AN ERROR IN THE ANSWERS (lol)" then I realise I was actually wrong :(
At least we still have time to improve :)
-
Indeed, good luck guys.
-
Keep making loads of silly errors in multiple choice...ending up with so many 82/90s :(
-
I am trying hard tp find time to study although I find hard as I have got 3 SACs this week. I suppose 1 of them is psych(states of consciouness) which only leaves me 2 other AOS to study? Anyone else who is doing psych, are you guys learning the definition of terms or not?
-
Yah lyke totz psyched.
Um
I kid
But i haven't done any trial exams yet...not to mention haven't done ERA(next week) let alone don't know how to write one... :\
Oh and we haven't finished visual perception and HTGOIRNJKLDOEPJNLKS!!!!!!!!!!!111111
That's how i feel right now. Plus i'm sick.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
Ive made a few mistakes on multiple choice questions. Is ok though because theyve been the ambiguous questions that I went WTF at while I was answering them. Can only recall getting one question wrong because I read it incorrectly. Still working on taking that step up from a couple of things wrong, to 100% right.
-
visionz 4 50 in psych? i think so

Doubt it. I got like 91/100 for my unit 3 sacs.

Howd you go in VP?
-
Ive done all 3 SACs. I dropped 7 on that VP SAC. Fkd me over.

Shit man, i haven't even done VP ERA yet :(
Stressin...

Yeah spread, we're doing the mull-lyer illusion or whatever its called.
I missed a class so i dont really know...ha

i'm doing pretty good for psych :)
so far 97% average for two sacs, going to get the results for the third tomorrow i hope.

Speaking of SACs... this *person* was copying pretty much everything off my SAC. I go to a shithole school so my teacher doesn't really care. If said *person* gets better than me, what do I do?
Besides kick the crap out of them?

Omg that sucks. If I notice anyone doing that, I cover my page with my arm as much as I can XD
But don't you have to sit in "test formation" (as what my school calls it)? So the person can't see your work? :O

It does. And what's worse? This *person* is my 'friend'. And was being stingy as fuck and actually wouldn't let me copy their SAC wtf. *rages*
We do sit in a test formation (2 people on either side of a 2 person table) but yeah, they could still see my multiple choice. And noticed what I drew for visual depth cues or something.
Grrrrrrrr. The student teacher even heard them practically hissing at me for answers but did nothing. :x
-
I have twenty-one practice exams sitting in my room, have done two. I'm a third of the way through Checkpoints, third of the way through Revise in a Month, and have three SACs within the next week. But I still retain hope.
-
Andrew(Spreadbury), stop throwing my pens and paper off the floor.
15 days left until the exam, I'm excited LOL.
@miss_academia, if you dont want those exams, feel free to post em to me =]

We haven't finished States of Consciousness yet. Is anyone else still learning the course work?
-
Im still supposed to be learning research methods. Picked up a little bit and could probably wing it but I havent done anything in class on it.
-

wow still on visual perception? have you started states of consciousness or did you just do it in a different order with visual perception last
-
We did states of consciousness first.
-
Hopefully everything has been covered for all of us in time for the exam. Until then, I'm teaching myself at home so class work can consolidate what I've learnt. 14 days!
@littlebecc good luck with the ERA :)
-
Thanks alannah, good luck with your studying as well :)
-
We still haven't covered everything on sleep (states of consciousness) :/
-
Mini- what are you up to in sleep?
-
We have to do methods used to study sleep, effects of sleep deprivation and sleep phenomena. I also have a SAC tomorrow, bah.
-
Psych sac? :o
Wow, you have a fair bit to go but i'm sure you'll be fine...good luck!
-
just did the 2008 VCAA one. Got 83/84. 99%, The question I got wrong was one I got wrong the other day too. >.< Its really out of 90, 2 marks I think I got right but the assessors report is shady so I wont count them either way and the other 4 I didnt do because I havent done research methods yet. 83/90 is still an A+ judging by the grade distribution anyway. Hopefully the 2010 one is about the same.
-
can you link the grade distribution stuff?

thanks akira :D
-
ermm just looked on the site
in psychology....it says 163-180 for a+
Does that mean you could loose 17 marks on the exam? That isn't right....UM what someone explain ploise lol.
-
Exams are marked by 2 people and they add up the marks because the actual exam is out of 90. So to get an A+ you could only lose 8.5 marks, not 17.
-
pretty pumped for mid years. havnt reallly had time to start studying but i already know the knowledge of AOS3 as we just had the SAC. I think i will get about 90% for it :). First SAC i really didnt have time to study for as I had 2 other SACs the same day and got 78% while on the second SAC I improved and got 88or 89%. Are you guys sitting the exam going to spent a lot of time on defintions? I looked through past exams and found almost none but I feel i could be caught out if defintions are asked and i spent 100% of my time on concepts. What should I do?
-
The definition of a visual illusion is pretty essential, it turns up in so many of the practice exams i've done...
Concerning definitions, the ones i've seen frequently are either describing a neuroimaging technique, Gestalt principles, depth cues, sleep phenomena and sleep disorders. You should know each one but don't spend all your time just on definitions...
