whose reading "the line" i think it has to be the worst book ever, it is so boring and hard to understand. The author chops and changes and just adds in random characters all the time. just want to know if anyone else is experiencing my annoyance.

I think the line is an exceptional book that fluctuates the human emotions and keeps readers in suspense. MArtin and Arch are an unbeatable team and should produce wonders of art, such as the line, more frequently. I feel privileged to have read this book, and it has been and emotinal and intellectual journey for me and i hope for you aswell.

omg are you serious? =.= i find it really boring and dry as well - complained about it non-stop when i read it during the holidays >.< since its a context book we dont actually have to know everything about it right? i talked to my ESL coordinator bout it and she said we just needed to give like some specific evidences of what we write in our essays... can you imagine people who just migrated to Aus reading the book? they would be soo put off by it!

Its definatley context, so i doubt it you would need to understand the book as thoroughly for the Reading and Responding part of the course. My teacher is an English examiner and shes marking this years English exams as well, so im confident its only context.
And to those ^^^^ who find it boring, it wasnt THAT bad. Sure the author chopped and changed, but it was an okay read.

I found The Line to be a clever and insightful novel. I especially enjoyed the constant transitions between Martin and Arch. In fact, I would probably recommend this novel to people who would like an experience a deep, phenomenal war story, with added insight and emotion.

Yes that is allowed. What is not allowed is for those writing the exam to also be a teacher.
