$Ncos\theta=mg$

$\Rightarrow tan\theta=\frac{v^2}{rg}$

$\Rightarrow \theta=tan^{-1}\left (\frac{v^2}{rg}\right )$

Now you can just plug your values into that :)

Post by: Stroodle on May 31, 2010, 09:00:42 pm: Kinda hard to explain without a diagram. But N is the normal force. Theta, the angle of the banked curve, is also the angle between the normal force, and a line that comes straight up from the weight force.
