Title: Sig Figs
Post by: andy456 on May 31, 2010, 04:41:23 pm
Just to clarify:
Can you only loose 1 mark per whole exam if your sig figs are wrong, meaning you don't lose or get a mark every time the sig figs is wrong??

it's just one mark off the entire paper the one time you don't do them right, and them for the rest of the paper any sig fig mistake is fine since you've already lost the mark for it.

Yes just one mark

That one mark could be the difference between an A, and an A+.

It could, theoretically. If you lost 17 marks last year and then ignored significant figures you could then fall into the A range...
