What definitions have you put on your cheat sheet? I have about 6cm^2 left, and dunno what to put there...
-
I've got:
Transducer
Input transducer
Output transucer
Amplifier
Modulator
LDR
Photo Diode
Phototransistor
DC
Smoothing
Newtons laws
Centripetal Force
-
I thought we don't need to worry about photostransistors?
-
Same and what do you mean by "smoothing"?

This is good Idea, plus what we did for detailed study, relativity. Also momentum is conserved in a closed system, loss of kinetic energy in a collision deems it to be inelastic.

There was a question in a practice paper asking you to define an 'analogue system'. Might be worth throwing in because I'd never even heard of that term before.
-
Yeah I saw that, I was stumped too.
-

It's in the further electronics detailed study - the process of using capacitors to absorb excess electrons from the circuit when voltage is heigh, and release when voltage is low.
-

You don't need to worry about transistor circuit however (as far as i'm aware) there may be a question comparing Photodiodes/Phototransistors and LDRs.
Basically they fit between LDRs and Photodiodes in terms of response time and are able to detect really low levels of lights and respond to allow current to flow.
I may be wrong about it being on the course - but our teacher taught us it so better safe then sorry.

There's also digital system =/
And all i have on my cheat sheet are the basic pointers for apparent weightlessness and carrier wave.
-
Digital Systems are just 1s and 0s i.e - on and off - think square wave.
vs analogue systems are varying levels - think light getting a light getting darker and brighter depending on the signal i.e a sin wave (though does not have to be uniform)
-
Awesome. I just ended up using the rest of my cheat sheet to put a few point on crumple zones/airbags etc. Dunno how much I need it, but it'll save time if they throw a question on it in there.
-
Analouge - continuously variable signal.
Digital - Discrete levels of signal. Generally only two - 'On' or 'off'.

I threw in the definition of digital system following my analogue definition.
I've been accumulating my cheatsheet since the beginning of the year, it's just a swamp of equations that I'll never use.
-
=/ I took 20 minutes to make my cheatsheet because I know I'm probably not even going to touch it
-
I haven't even made one yet.. Just written down 5-6 definitions...
-
How many sides? Just the One?
-
How many sides? Just the One?
1 A4 Peice of paper, 2 Sides.

oh sweet, I thought it was a one sider, cheers

lol same.....itute :P
-
What definitions you guys got?
I still got abit of space left...
-
Just photonics stuff, lol.
-
I've got photonic, crumple zones and apparent weightlessness.
-
Mine's loaded. I'm gonna need a magnifying glass.
-
haha, same. it's a work of art.
-
Mine has so much white space. I've always sucked at producing a decent summary sheet.
-
I don't need 90% of mine. I just made it as I did questions over the last few week.
Makes me feel secure though :)
-
Can anyone be kind enough to upload one, i want to skim over one to get a few ideas. I tried to scan mine but you cant read it...If you dont feel like sharing got any others on the net you can direct me too? Cheers guys
-
Are we allowed to bring monocles into the exam?

I'll upload mine in the morning when i have access to a scanner.
-
what stuff do you have on crumple zones, and also what are good definitions of 'design speed' and 'isolated system'?
-
Here be my cheatsheet.
-
Design speed is just when the only forces acting on an object on a banked corner is the *Normal Reaction Force and *Weight Force.
-
Does it matter if it's typed and handwritten?
Can't imagine it would, I just scribbled down a couple of extra things at the top and bottom of the page.
-
I don't think it matters, if it's both typed or handwritten.
As long it's a cheat sheet that followed the rules from VCAA.
-
Here be my cheatsheet.
Not that it's likely to matter but I noticed that for Kepler's law you have
.
I believe the radius is meant to be cubed.

You're quite right, cheers! We're all human.
-
No problem. Unlikely it will be used, lol, but anyway. Do you guys think you'll end up using it at all?
-
Here be my cheatsheet.
tht is the worst fuckin cheat sheet i have ever seen
shutup.
-

I doubt I'll use most things on my cheat sheet, but it came up in an old exam I was doing, figured better safe then sorry!
For me making the cheat sheet was more an introduction to revision then anything, bring back all the old stuff which is burried away in the head!
-

I've used a few times, I hope so, and I hope there's heaps of gravitation questions...I love them, just plug and play lol.
-
I rarely use my cheat sheets. Making it was really good revision.
Still handy to have though!
-
I dont think so perhaps just to double check the formula's :P even though i know theyre right just to be 10000 percent sure :P
-
Sorry about the previous posts, i logged onto my account on a friends computer when we needed help. I must have hit always remember account info or what ever because today he was able to go on my account. He thinks its hilarious...
-
How do i change my password or something so he cant continue to post random stuff?

hope this would help. contains some goodies in there.
