What r use going to do on the morning of the exam?
-
Make sure I can spell properly.
-
Nothing... Not going to look at my books. Just going to have a nice sleep in and relax before my accepted fate :buck2:
-
Just need confidence ;] Wipe all the thoughts out that the exam is going to be hard
You go so much better if you think positive
-

Yea same.

Eat a massive breakfast.
-
Do a psychology exam ;D
-
Sleep. Play a game.
-
Spam 10 practice exams...
Seriously just relax, there isn't much you can do at that stage that will actually help you. Cramming will just make you forget a lot more than you'll actually learn...
-
wud u recommend drinking 'V' or Redbull jst b4 the exam..??
-
I'd say no, firstly you may have to go to the toilet because of it, also it will make it hard to concentrate/you think faster and miss key information and make false assumptions, costing many marks. It may work for you though...
-
I'm not taking a water bottle in...I'll end up drinking the whole thing in reading time, then I'll need to go toilet mid-way...
-
Someone please put a ban on my account. I am forcing myself to go to bed early tonight.
-
wake up from a good 8 hours or so sleep and eat a good breakfast. as a religious person i'll pray to God (hoping there is one) that i will be able to do my best. Well isn't that all you can do. and get to the exam of course at least 45 mins before yer

Just to confirm regarding the exam.. we are allowed to use a pencil..?? and dat too only for circling mcq and drawing right..?? and also one more question:
u know how the exam will be electronically marked.. what if we mess up a whole question and need to cross it out and do it again.. but where will we write ..??
-
Ive heard now that you can write in pencil aswell for short answer area
-
really? yay!!! lets hope thats true
-
Ive heard now that you can write in pencil aswell for short answer area
Its contradictory...On the actual exam, it says we can...however VCAA's newsletter to the teachers, said BLACK or BLUE pen....
I asked my teacher, then he showed me the newsletter... He reckons its contradictory aswell, but recommends use PEN for SAQs just incase the scanner doesnt pick it up, or any other reason...

Someone also told me IF pencil, then has to be 2B, so just take one and ask the VCAA person there on the day.
-
so pen even for drawing and ccolouring in the mcq..?? wat if we colour in the wrong mcq and need to rub it out to colour another one..??

In the circling for MCQ, were allowed pencil for sure...thats a certain..
Yea, good point Hard, might aswell? Who knows?
-
You can write in pencil... We are expected to read the exam cover, not the VCAA bulletin. If they stuffed up in their instructions, then that is their problem.
The exam cover says we can use pencil, so I am using pencil.
-
Haha, but remember the ancient legal proverb... "Ignorance is no excuse"..
Seriously though, the exam covers may differ from the samples. Imagine if you open up the real one and there is no mention of pencil for section B...
And, again:....
Note:
Students should not write outside the border indicated on each page
Students should only write in blue or black pen
...
If something eventuates of this, don't say they didn't warn you...

u know how the exam will be electronically marked.. what if we mess up a whole question and need to cross it out and do it again.. but where will we write ..??
xD I had that fear as well but after doing a few Chem and Physics exams in pen, the most I've ever crossed out is two lines for a question.
-
do a stoich question and look at my organic patheway map

Yeah, it has been nothing like I had imagined. I envisioned entire pages scribbled out =\
-
LOL same, been using pen for a week, and it really isn't that bad...the feel is good too...nice and smooth :P
-
After the exam I will not discuss results. It will not change anything and just make me feel crap for a month until we get our results.

Lol you may say that now.

I am totally adamant about this. The most I will do is pop in a thread and post hysterically about the exam and then go eat my feelings.
I'll be doing a psychology exam during the morning.
-
What time is da exam..??
