Title: Study Scores/ATAR prediction
Post by: 98.40_for_sure on June 29, 2010, 09:46:29 pm
ive been suffering from insomnia over my terrible unit 3 scores and fear that i wont get into my course!
my report just came in the mail and i was wondering if anyone could maybe take a few guesses at my SS/atar

English:
Text response: A
Language analysis: A
Oral pres: B+

Methods:
Sacs: B+
         A+
Analysis task (heard it was 40% of unit 3 score?): B+

Specialist maths:
Sacs: A
         A+

Chemistry:
A+
B+
A+
exam guess (A or really low A+)

I also got a 28 in texts & traditions in year 11

thanks!

EDIT:
ohh i also forgot about the ranking...
english: probably top 10% of year level, top 5/20 in class
methods: top 8 ish of all year 12 mm students
spesh: 3rd or 4th (got 2 super mathematicians 100%ing everything)
chemistry: top 10 maybe, lotta pretty good chem kids at my school

estimates for unit 4 and end year exams
english: high B+/low A in SACs, B-B+ in exam
methods: A+ in sacs, A for exams
specialist: A-A+ in sacs, B+ in exams
Chemistry: A in sacs, A+ in exam

well you cant really tell this early but ill take a guess from the scores u have here...

english: 35-40ish
methods: 35-40
spesh: 37-45, maybe higher
chem: 38-42

but really it all depends on how you go in term 4 ;)

Given that you expect a B+ in the specialist exams you will not be looking at such a high SS. It will more likely be ~33-35 raw.

its really a matter of what you believe you can achieve in the next several weeks..
